mission compilation of poems

salam and hello everyone,

i always wanted to compile all my poems and pieces of writing somewhere. i started doing that on facebook but realized that what if facebook disappears one day. i think i should have multiple storage areas because the same could be true for this blog...

Salaam,

So, today is Pakistan's 64th birthday and I felt the same adrenaline rush for few seconds which I used to feel when I was in Pakistan for 14th Augusts. Although there has been so much chaos and turmoil in the country, I just saw the news and was so ecstatic to see that Pakistan made a world record of 5885 singing the national anthem at once. Made me realize that I'm not the only one who's in crazy love with that country.

Anyway, I can go on and on about how my thoughts and feelings for Pakistan. I came back to blogger after such a long time because I am planning on sharing all my poems with the world. Since today is 14th of August, I want to share a poem which I wrote with Pakistan in my mind:

Jahan sirf pyar tha phalta

Salamti ka phool tha khilta

Sakoon se sooraj tha dhalta

Taazgi se her din nikalta

Wohi sunehra Pakistan

Jhandiyan lagatay 14 august ko

mil ker manatay her shikast ko

Mehnat banatay her fursat ko

Aaj ro rahay sub apni kismet ko

Wohi sunehra Pakistan

Chooriyan khanakteen eidou ko

Azaan jagati her umeed ko

Murshid milta her mureed ko

Tamgha nawaztay her shaheed ko

Wohi sunehra Pakistan

Bachay chehaktay galiyoun mein

Rang bikhartay kaliyoun mein

Saqafat chalakti huliyoun mein

Koi ghark na hota rang raliyoun mein

Wohi sunehra Pakistan

Baharoun mein sub gungunatay

Garmiyoun ke barish mein nahatay

Sehnoun mein shaamein guzartay

Tehwaroun mein gharou ko sajatay

Wohi sunehra Pakistan

Jahan thee rishtou ke pyas

hukmaran se thee bhalai ke aas

imaandari jahan sirf thee raas

Sacha deen tha qalb ke paas

Wohi sunehra Pakistan

Kho gia khoon ke selaab mein

Aziatou ke baab mein

Qudrat ke afaat mein

Allah ke azaab mein
